I work with a lot of nurses. I spend time listening to and holding space for nurses to share their thoughts, to process, and be able to come back ready to work again the next day.
This year is different for them. Very different.
So, how do I process and work through holding their stress, these amazing professionals living and working amongst us? Well, write a song, of course. In fact, there are two new songs. I wrote them to create a space to hold the thoughts my colleagues have shared. I wrote them in moments of reflection and quiet, with no other reason than to honor their story.
I've decided to share one with you now, and another later once it is recorded and ready.
